Happy Monday Everyone!!

Last week brought a SLEW of awesome postings, and you’ll notice a few from organizations that we don’t normally see on here… like Ohio State, Gifthealth, and Drive Capital, to name a few.

Before we get into the postings, I want to share a few things I wish I knew earlier on the search path that helped me immensely.

Although I do think this is a slightly overused term, I also think it's underutilized. This doesn't mean you have to start a YouTube Channel or speak at conferences. It can be as simple as posting on LinkedIn and showing up in spaces where people who could use your experience are spending time.

Not to make generalizations here, but when we go through a layoff, we tend to want to bury our heads in the sand like an ostrich. I know the feeling.

But the ONLY way I ws able to make progress was by posting about it, sharing my journey, and showing up. (I even made this post sharing with my entire network how much I was making every month freelancing. Embarrassing, but it helped me earn so much trust and respect amongst potential clients and peers.)

Was it cringe? Oh, definitely.

But most things worth doing aren’t comfortable in the moment. Without really trying, I have gotten probably a dozen job offers since being laid off in 2023. And it definitely wasn’t my resume.

It was because I showed up, shared honestly, and it attracted the right people as a result.
